paradoxysm

From The Future Dictionary of America:

paradoxysm n. a sudden attack of understanding that allows you to hold sparring statements in your mind without feeling like you have to choose one side over the other (white/black) (wrong/right) (briefs/boxers). Instead, you are seized by the pleasure of ambivalence, of entertaining two well-founded ideas at the dinner table you've set in the middle of your small but capacious heart.
